Color   Groups,   What   are   they?

If you want to be more involved with UGA Miracle, one of the best things you can do is get involved with your color group. Every team member (which is everyone who registers with UGA Miracle) is placed into a “color group” that is organized by members of the morale committee. Throughout the year, you and the other team members who are in your color group will join together to compete for “spirit points”, and these spirit points will eventually add up until one color group officially wins at Dance Marathon and becomes the proud owner of the coveted “golden gnome” prize for the next year. These competitions include anything from creating crazy dances or cheers to seeing who can represent their color group with the wackiest outfit. Color groups are also great because even if you don’t know anyone else participating in UGA Miracle, you will instantly have a group of people to connect with and help you get excited about raising money for the kids. Your morale leaders should email you throughout the year and create a facebook group for everyone in your color group to join, so don’t be concerned if they reach out to you in this way. Use your color group as a way to raise more awareness for our awesome organization and to prepare yourself for Dance Marathon – the best 24 hours you will ever experience!
