How to effectively use Donor Drive

Logging Into DonorDrive
Follow these quick steps to log into DonorDrive & get started utilizing DonorDrive to help you reach your fundraising total!
- Visit www.helpmakemiracles.org
- Scroll down and enter your login information.
- Party! You've now logged in
Your dashboard
When you log into your Donor Drive account you are presented with a screen similar to the one on the right.
This is your dashboard and is the hub for your online fundraising efforts. In the following sections you will learn about the most important options, but feel free to explore Donor Drive yourself!

Your fundraising page
To modify your fundraising page click the "Edit Fundraising Page" link in your dashboard. At the top of this page is the most important section, as seen in the graphic to the right. This allows you to set a personalized URL for your page to make it easy to distribute your fundraising page to family and friends. We suggest you use your first name and last initial with the year. For example if your name is Joe Smith you would enter "JoeS2012" in the blank.

Update your Fundraising Total
So you just got an email informing you that you received a donation through one of the Letter Writing Campaigns and you want to update your online fundraising total goal to reflect it. Start at your dashboard and mouse over the "Donations" tab at the top. You will then see the options to view "Donations Received" or to "Add Offline Donation". Choose the second option. When you do, the screen on the right will appear. Choose the "Check" option and enter the required fields. When you are done click "Add Donation". Your fundraising total will now reflect all current donations. Note: Check number does not matter, just enter "0000." |

Send fundraising emails to family and friends
Need to raise your total quickly and easily? Look no further than the email function within Donor Drive. Simply log into your account and from the dashboard, mouse over "Messages" at the top and click on "Compose a Mesage." This will take you to the page on the right, which will allow you to enter in the email addresses of your recipients.
If you would like to send emails to a lot of people click the "Import from Webmail" link, this will allow you to access your address book from popular email providers such as Gmail and Yahoo mail as well as others.
Email messages come preloaded with a message detailing UGA Miracle's efforts and the cause we support. This is only a template! Feel free to personalize the email as much as you want. These are your friends and family they will want to hear from you and what you're doing in college. The more personalized the message the better. Consider including how UGA Miracle has impacted you.
If you want to preview what your message will look like just click "Send Test Message to Myself", then wait several minutes and check your email inbox. Happy with the result? Come back to Donor Drive and click the "Send Message" button, it's that easy!

Utilize social networking websites to your advantage
Did you know? DonorDrive has the ability to link your social networking accounts to your fundraising page! This great feature is perfect for "socializing" the fundraising experience. Many participants have had tremendous success using these functions to "crowd-source" their totals. Every little bit counts!
To link you accounts, click on your profile page from your Dashboard. This page can be accessed by clicking the "Welcome, [First Name]" link. From here, click "Social" to view the section that looks just like this one to the right. Here you can opt in to link your social networking accounts to your Donor Drive page. - Twitter: Send donation tweets to your Twitter account!
- Facebook: Grow your fundraising support with Facebook. The DonorDrive Facebook application automatically posts a daily update to your Facebook status as you raise money and your support grows. The status update will include a link for your friends to follow back to your fundraising page. Fundraisers who use the DonorDrive Facebook application are more likely to hit their goal than those who don't!
- Text Alerts: Donor Drive will contact you by text message when someone makes a donation to your page.
