In 2008, Marcus was playing on his skateboard and lost control. An SUV hit him and he was rushed to a hospital, where emergency surgery was performed and part of his skull was removed to deal with the swelling of his brain. Marcus was induced into a coma to help him heal. After 20 days, Marcus awoke and could write “it’s me” on a whiteboard to his parents to let them know that he was okay. Now Marcus is just a normal 11 year old boy who loves playing soccer and basketball, watching UGA Football, and is excelling in school. Go, Marcus!!
