Why uga miracle

Dear University of Georgia,

I am sure you are all looking for a way to get involved, meet as many new people as you can, and make an impact.  As you might have heard, UGA Miracle is one of the many ways in which to do so- we are a student organization that raises money and awareness for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospitals. With all of the student organizations here at the University of Georgia, here are some of the many reasons I chose to get involved with UGA Miracle:

You can impact a child's life: Our organization works directly with over 35 Miracle kids, each of whom have an incredible story of how Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has benefited them. Involvement with UGA Miracle gives you the opportunity to support these kids and thousands of others treated at this hospital every year. Because UGA Miracle is run by students just like you and me, the sky is the limit for the amount of impact you can have.

You can meet incredible people and build your UGA community: With over 1200 registered participants in 2011, UGA Miracle is one of the largest organizations of its kind on-campus. Through your involvement, you get the chance to meet like-minded students who want to work for a greater cause.

You have FUN: Throughout the year we host several events, including our Benefit Concert featuring Ben Rector, that will have you laughing, entertained, and wanting more.  These events lead up to our year-end celebration- Dance Marathon (pictured above)

You have lots of ways to get involved: Whether you want to be a team member, a committee member, or just a chicken-wing-eating-specialist there is a way to be a part of UGA Miracle based on your interests, availability, and personal schedule.

You can be a part of a UGA tradition: UGA Miracle has been serving Children’s and the UGA community for 18 years, and attendance at Dance Marathon has become just as much a part of UGA tradition as avoiding the Arch, gamedays at Sanford Stadium, and late-night Snelling runs.
