Ramie Grace Lehman

Ramie was born November 12, 2021 at 37 weeks. Once we got past the jaundice and weight gain issues that nearly landed her back in the hospital for failure to thrive, she was pretty healthy for the most part. In the middle of December she was just over a month old and I noticed a flash of bright red on the back of her throat while she was creaming. I took her to her pediatrician who referred us to an ENT in Columbus Ga, just across the river from where we live. I took her to the appointment and he looked down her throat. He said that he saw the red spot on the right side of her throat, but also saw another very red spot further down on the left side. He said they look exactly like hemangiomas. He said he has read about hemangiomas being on the throat, but in his 20 years of practicing medicine he had never seen it. He referred us to the Vascular Anomalies Clinic. Jan 18 2022 was our first appointment. The hematologist confirmed that she had two hemangiomas on her soft palate, and she was placed on Medication to stop any growth, and hopefully shrink what is there.
