what is a family day?

Throughout the year we love to host our families and give them a time just to have fun. We invite all of our organization, including our Family Pals, with the soul purpose of getting to know and love on these Miracle Families. These events are known as Family Days and are coordinated by the Family Relations committee. The events range from carnivals, movie nights, craft days, or anything else that comes to mind!

 Washington Farms

Washington Farms is a local Athens event farm where we host our families for a fun event out in the sun! Different activities they can participate in include a corn maze, wagon rides, giant jumping pillows, petting zoo, and many more. This event provides our families a safe environment for our Miracle champions to run around and just be kids with our Miracle members.

Botanical Gardens

At the beginning of the academic year, we all head to the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia to enjoy crafts, nature, and games! It is our favorite way to reconnect after the summer!

UGA Hockey Night

UGA® Miracle has partnered with UGA’s Hockey Team to have a Miracle Hockey Night during their season! Miracle fills a part of the arena with our Miracle Families and members and spends the evening cheering our Dawgs on. 

Virtual Bingo

In order to give an opportunity for our Miracle families located further away an opportunity to play, we have a Zoom Family Day! This year, we played bingo, and the winners of each round got Miracle Merchandise!
