I was inspired to join UGA® Miracle by my little sister who is a Miracle kid. I saw how Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Children’s Miracle Network changed her life for the better and I wanted to be able to do the same in other families’ lives.

My favorite memory was at Dance Marathon last year when all of the team captains and I were playing Uno at 5 AM. We were all sleep-deprived but had high spirits to keep fundraising for our kids
— Pierce Sanders, Membership Co-Chair
My favorite memory is when little Eleanor broke out of her shell at DM and danced like no one was watching! It was an amazing reminder for why I joined Miracle and the difference we make as an organization!
— Brooke von Seeger, former Family Relations AC
The first year I joined Miracle I didn’t understand what the organization was all about or what we did all year long. Going into my fourth year of being on Miracle I realized I kept coming back to this incredible organization for the friendships I made and the experiences I would have never had. Miracle is so much more than raising money for Children’s. It’s an open and welcoming community that inspires me everyday to put my best foot forward and realize the potential I have, and the potential we have as a group of college students, to make an impactful difference in the world.
— Grace Best, Alumna & former Fundraising Co-Chair
I went to Dance Marathon without knowing anything about UGA® Miracle because some of my friends convinced me to. I didn’t know until that day, that one of my friends was part of a “Miracle Family.” I got to hear from his parents and little sister about how Miracle had been such a positive difference for them in a time of need. I’m proud to be a part of UGA Miracle because I know the work we do has a tangible impact on Children’s patients and their families.
— Nick Hwang, Hospital Relations AC
One of my favorite UGA Miracle memories is the LOA HSDM. I had the privilege to serve as one of the High School Outreach Co-Chairs in 2019-2020, and we started a program at LOA. So many of their students came and our members were able to bond with them and form really cool, lasting relationships. We also got to hear from Leah Trotter, Jack Trotters mom! They were so excited to be able to share sweet Jack Jack’s story and watching him thrive at the HSDM was truly a high point for me. He was dancing and jumping all around, smiling the whole time. At the end of the HSDM, we were able to do an awesome number flip! LOA raises over 10,000 dollars as a first year program and honestly, that left me speechless. It was such a testament to the students dedication and really helped bring my “why” back to the forefront of my mind.
— Cole Williams, Alumnus and former Morale Co-Chair
I love UGA® Miracle because it has given me the opportunity to connect with some of the most genuine and kind-hearted people who I am lucky to call my best friends now. Being in UGA Miracle has allowed me to meet some of the most courageous children and families that fight so hard and shine so bright everyday. Being a part of UGA® Miracle has given me the best experience, and I will forever be grateful for every moment I get to spend as a part of this organization!
